Delta Dental of South Dakota supported the University of South Dakota’s Dental Hygiene Program, the only such program in the state, through a $1 million gift for new facilities. In recognition of the donation, the University’s new hygiene clinic will be named the Delta Dental Oral Health Center. Delta Dental of South Dakota’s support will allow the program to expand from 32 to 50 new students every year, ensuring the state has an adequate oral health care workforce. The facility will also offer interdisciplinary study opportunities with the University’s other health degree programs.
