Northeast Delta Dental is working to increase the dental workforce to better meet the needs of patients in Vermont by supporting the Expanded Function Dental Assisting (EFDA) program at the Center for Technology, Essex. The EFDA program provides highly trained and skilled dental assistants with the additional education that enables them to perform reversible, intraoral procedures, and other expanded duties. In 2021, scholarship dollars were donated for eight students to participate in this career enhancing program benefiting not only them, but also their patients and the practices.
