Delta Dental of the District of Columbia continued its long history of support of Howard University by endowing the Delta Dental Scholarships for Opportunity at Howard University’s College of Dentistry. This endowed scholarship will be awarded annually, beginning in 2022 and into perpetuity, to at least two high-achieving, financially deserving student dentists who have demonstrated high academic achievement, financial need, and demonstrated interest in working in underserved communities. This gift is a part of Delta Dental of California’s overarching effort to bring greater diversity and equity to oral health care.
